Blue town in Morocco

Chefchaouen is a small town which is located on the slopes of reefs Mountains in northwest Morocco. The city is mostly known with its old part, almost all the houses in this town  are
painted in different shades of blue. Furthermore there  produce a virtually half of all herbs in Morocco.

The city was founded in 1471, and by 1920 there were only three foreigners visiting. Now Chefchaouen is a popular tourist town, at the same time remained extremely interesting and unique.

The houses in the Medina (old town) in the lower part are painted blue. They are maintained in good condition and regularly have painted.
