Amazing! City under rocks

We love to see the natural elements to be integrated into architecture. Setenil de las Bodegas is a small town in the province Cádiz, Spain.

They call Setenil and nearby villages "white villages" as most houses in the area were painted white.

But Setenil not become one of the most popular Spanish tourist destination because of the color of the buildings. The reason is that the houses have been dug for the most part directly into the stone.

Every street is different and sometimes visitors can feel threatened by large stones hanging over their heads. More bit to  be collapsed on them. Be calm, there is no such danger.
This is definitely not a place for people who suffer from claustrophobia.

View the photos of Setenil and tell us whether would you live in a city under rocks?.
